Catherine Bickersteth

Mrs Catherine Bickersteth is an economist, a British Council-certified education expert, and a highly respected education strategist with more than 30 years of experience and impact.

She started her career in banking at Citibank Nigeria, following which she joined the UK’s Department for International Development. Thereafter, in 2009, Mrs Bickersteth established Strategic Educational Advisory Services, which guides students (with their parents) on their holistic education journey.

Alongside SEAS, Mrs Bickersteth was on the board of Development Africa, the Nigeria Director of the African Leadership Academy, and an ambassador for Teach For Nigeria.

Currently, she is on the board of Children’s International School and an Ambassador for the Nigeria University of Technology & Management. In 2021, Mrs Bickersteth co-founded the Seyi Bickersteth Scholarship Scheme (with KPMG, Andersen & LEADWAY), which provides scholarships, internships and mentorship to less privileged students studying accounting and related subjects in Nigerian public universities.

Mrs Bickersteth is also passionate about women supporting women and is the co-founder of Women Inspire – a network of inspirational female executives, business leaders and entrepreneurs.
