Dr Banji Awosika

Dr Banji Awosika is a US based Physician with a strong Interest in Wellness. He works with Iwosan Lagoon Hospitals to help build capacity through knowledge sharing, hands on procedural training and reverse medical tourism.
After attending elementary school in Tokyo, Dr Awosika moved back to Nigeria with his parents to complete his high school. He is an alumnus of the prestigious College of Medicine, University of Lagos. He interned at the Port of Spain Hospital in Trinidad and then Practiced for a year in England before completing his residency and fellowship at New York’s North Shore University and St John Hospital in Detroit. Dr Awosika is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology.

Dr Awosika specializes in Nephrology, Hypertension, Dialysis, Kidney Transplant medicine and the therapeutic use of cannabis with an emphasis on preventive care at his practice, West Orange Nephrology, Orlando, Florida. Dr Awosika was recognized by the Mayor of Orlando and received proclamation that Dec 10, 2016 be declared Dr Banji Awosika’s Day.

As part of his holistic approach to wellness, a medical marijuana clinic is Dr Awosika’s latest addition, debunking the myth around marijuana and helping people achieve optimal health through supervised use.
