Mr. Atedo N. A. Peterside

Atedo N. A. Peterside CON is an Entrepreneur, Investment Banker and Economist. He founded Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC at Age 33 and served as its pioneer CEO from 1989 to 2007, then Chairman from 2007 until 2017. Between 2014 and 2024, he was a director at both The Standard Bank of South Africa Limited and the Standard Bank Group Limited.

He is also the Chairman and Founder of Anap Jets FZE and Anap Foundation. Educated at King’s College Lagos, he earned degrees in Economics from City University London and The London School of Economics & Political Science, plus executive training at Harvard Business School. He is an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers of Nigeria. Mr. Peterside chaired Nigeria’s Committee on Corporate Governance of Public Companies, which published the first Code of Best Practices in 2003.

He has served on a broad variety of Corporate Boards & Non-Governmental Organisations as well as the Economic Management Teams of the Federal Government of Nigeria under two Presidents.
