Toritseju Dottie
Toritseju Toju Dottie is a Partner in the Intellectual Property (IP) team at Aluko & Oyebode. She advises both local and international clients on brand protection, including the registration, commercialisation, and enforcement of IP rights. Toju has extensive experience supporting IP -related commercial transactions across diverse industries and has worked closely with regulators to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across Sub -Saharan Africa.
She is widely recognised for her exceptional client service and her ability to build strong, long -term relationships. In her work with startups, Toju adopts a collaborative and solutions -driven approach, partnering closely with clients to understand their unique challenges and delivering practical strategies aligned with their business objectives.
Toju is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Intellectual Property Law Association of Nigeria (IPLAN), the International Intellectual Property Law Association (IIPLA), the International Trademark Association (INTA), the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA), the Pharmaceutical Trade Marks Group (PTMG) and the Anti -Counterfeiting Collaboration (ACC).
She is also deeply committed to mentoring and educating young professionals on the importance of IP protection in an evolving technological landscape. An active thought leader, Toju has published several articles on Academia and LinkedIn and regularly speaks at panels, webinars, and seminars on IP -related topics.
In recognition of her work, she has been ranked as a Notable Practitioner in the Intellectual Property category by Who’s Who Legal (now Lexology) in 2024, 2025 and 2026. She was also ranked No. 8 in the Legal Expertise and Innovation category by Women of IP World in 2025.
